Deepest condolences to the Dean family from Tom and Emily Hooten. One of my fondest memories as a youngster was sitting with Uncle Herbert in Mobile as he patiently explained to me how a vacuum tube worked. The interest in electronics he created in me inspired me to begin my education in electrical engineering, and nearly everything I've done since has involved electronics in some way. He was a good man to the core, and I'll never forget the positive influence he had on my life. He will be missed by all.
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Dean from the neighborhood. Our prayers are with his family.
