Thomas Herbert Dean's Obituary
PERRY-
Thomas Herbert Dean, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Perry. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, the hour preceding the service, also at First Baptist Church of Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions to House of God Campaign, First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Mr. Dean was born in Eriton, AL, to the late Thomas J. and Hatty Bryan Dean. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Marines. He worked for the school system in Mobile and Troy, AL, helping train students in electronics for Civil Service. In 1966, he moved from Mobile, AL, to Houston County to work at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as Electronics Engineer in Civil Service for 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry and a member of the Barnabas Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Catherine Dean and Mary Forbes Dean Hooten.
Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Dean are his loving wife of 66 years, DeEtta Clemmer Dean of Perry; his children, Sharon Dean Lee of Cumming, Larry Dean of Statesboro, and Jeff Dean (Teri) of Thomaston; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
