Thelma Paul Jones, 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. A visitation beginning at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service will be held in the chapel of Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
Thelma was born on October 12, 1934, to the late Elmore Paul and the late Minnie Bell Howell Paul in Ashford, Alabama. After graduating high school, she worked at Anchor Glass as a utility inspector and retired from her job at Anchor Glass. Thelma attended Calvary Way Community Church of Perry for many years. She found joy in cooking and was a wonderful housewife to her family. Thelma always had a smile on her face and was a caring mother to her children.
She was predeceased in death by her son William T. "Tommy" Jones, III, Daughter-In-Law, Teresa G. Jones, and siblings, Delmer Paul, Elmer Paul and Selma Paul.
Left to cherish Thelma’s life and the memories made with her is her husband of 73.5 years, William Thomas "W.T." Jones, Jr. her son, Ronnie Jones (Paula); her three grandchildren Ashton Kate Harding (Jonathan), Miranda Helms (Scott), and Nathan Garren (Victoria); along with several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
