Teresa Sue Simpson's Obituary

Teresa Sue Simpson, 50, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2013, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., the hour preceding the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 277 MLK Jr. Boulevard West, Suite 101, Macon, GA 31201.
Teresa was born in Shamrock, Texas, and grew up in Kathleen. She graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1982. Family was very special to Teresa, and she never missed a family reunion or an opportunity to be with those she loved. She worked for Revco then CVS in Warner Robins for 25 years, starting as a sales clerk and eventually becoming an Assistant Manager. Once she was diagnosed with breast cancer, Teresa became an advocate for breast cancer awareness and a supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, participating in their "Walk for the Cure" events regularly. Teresa was a fan of NASCAR, and was delighted to attend the most recent race in Atlanta with her sister and nephew.
Left to cherish the memories of Teresa are her parents, Jimmie and Nancy Simpson of Kathleen; her sister, Diana Roberts (Dennis) of Perry; her brother, James Simpson of Kathleen; and 2 nephews, SPC Christopher Smith of Ft. Bragg, NC, and Caleb Malone of Perry.
