PERRY –
Teresa Marie Barnes, 60, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary with Father Eric Filmer officiating. Private Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Knights of Columbus, 133 South Commercial Circle, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Teresa was born on July 20, 1963, to the late Willie and Eunice Barnes. She was a 1981 graduate of Perry High School. Teresa was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. A loving and caring mom, being a mom was a point of pride for her. She loved her children dearly. Her mantra in life was “things can always be worse.” With that positive attitude, Teresa worked hard at whatever she did. She was a customer service representative and salesclerk at Circle K for nearly fifteen years.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Barnes.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Teresa are her sons, Clifford Torres of Perry, Daniel Torres of Dothan, AL, and Jonathan Torres of Perry; her grandchild, Rose Kirkpatrick of Niceville, FL; her sister, Tammie Stephenson (Donnie) of Perry; and three nephews.
