Tammy Sue Crowder was born in Spokane, Washington, to Ron Crowder and the late Mary Jane Grady Crowder . She graduated from Eisenhower High School, and soon after high school began her own family. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she was blessed with two children. Tammy was thrilled as her family grew to include eight grandchildren. She cherished every moment with her family and loved watching them grow. She shared her love of arts and crafts with her family by always creating elaborate Christmas and Birthday baskets with all of their favorite gifts.
Tammy loved to care for all those around her. She shared this passion with many young people as she ran a home-based daycare for over 15 years. In that time, she molded many young lives and offered her home as a safe and encouraging space as her children grew up. She also served Friendship Baptist Church as a Choir Director and Youth Pastor, showing love to all who entered the doors of the church as “Mama T”.
Tammy was also a natural born entertainer and comedian. She made everyone laugh, even at their lowest points. She also entertained many with her love of music. Known as “Sugar T”, Tammy loved to rap and never shied from performing in front of a crowd. Rapping was central in her young and adult life and the hobby she enjoyed most.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother and her sister.
Left to cherish the memories they made together are her children: Natashia Crowder of Perry, and Vincent E. Ross Jr. (Taleah) of Centerville; her father, Ron Crowder of Waco, Texas; her grandchildren, Latrevian Crowder, Jaden Ross, Nariah Miller, Kaden Knolton, Ka’Mya Knolton, Ayden Ross, Brayden Ross, and Kyleah Ross; her godchildren, Kionda Carroll, Lanecia Baker, Arnisha Parr; her brother, Brent Crowder; her sister, Michelle Gomez; Uncles, Darrell Fender and Doug Fender; Aunts, Neorla Fender Howell and Marie Fender Howell; her bonus family, Aisha Carr, Rochelle Sullivan, Richard Sullivan, Adrienne Sullivan, Kathline Sullivan, Kathy Kruickshank; her special friends, Robin Dean, Lisa Rowland, Lisa Sullivan; and her Friendship Baptist Church Family, especially Ardesia Parr and Dr. Barbara Lofton.
