Tamea 'Tammy' Young Matthews' Obituary
MARSHALLVILLE, GA
Tamea "Tammy" Young Matthews, 57, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, after a lengthy illness. A Service to Celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, the hour immediately preceding the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P. O. Box 52, Perry, GA 31069.
Born in Peach County, Tamea had lived in Houston County most of her life. A 1974 graduate of The Westfield School in Perry, she received an Associates Degree from Middle Georgia College. Tamea had previously served as the office manager at The Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base. She was a Baptist. Tamea was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Young; her mother, Dot Young; her father, Riley Young; and her granddog, Hank.
Left to cherish the memories of Tamea are her loving, devoted daughter, Laura Matthews of Bonaire; her sister, Sara Lynn Jackson (Gary) of Hortense; her brother, Bubba Young (Regina) of Perry; her nieces and nephew, Stacie LaClaire, Sarandon Rigby, Mallory Young, Riley Young, and Liberty Wreden; her special cousin, Candi James; and many other exteded family members.
