SYLVIA GREENE ARNOLD's Obituary
MILLS RIVER, NORTH CAROLINA –
Sylvia Greene Arnold, 83, formerly of Perry, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 19, 2022. Services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., and the Funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fred McCoy officiating. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens.
Sylvia was born on March 22, 1939, in Tifton and was the daughter of the late Marshall and Bernice Greene. She grew up in Perry where she played the French horn in the band at Perry High School where she graduated in the Class of 1958. Sylvia treasured the relationships with her church families at Perry United Methodist Church, Houston Lake Baptist Church, and Bible Baptist Temple. She taught Sunday School, was active in the choir, and traveled on various mission trips and disaster relief projects. Her hobbies included painting, square dancing, ballroom dancing, and fishing. Sylvia was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a good friend who will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Francis Arnold; and her son, Kevin Arnold.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Sylvia are her son, Marlon Arnold and his wife, Sandra Arnold, of Perry; her daughter, Holly Harris and her wife, Lisa Roberts, of Mills River, NC; her son, Dale Arnold and his wife, Melissa Arnold, of Byron; and her brother, Ronnie Greene and his wife, Gail, of Perry. Sylvia is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
