Stephen Yeager, 61, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 with his loving wife and friends by his side. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held 6 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30 at Perry Memorial Gardens. The family suggests contributions to FOPAS, 1207 Washington Street, Perry, GA or your local animal shelter. .
Stephen was born in Herrin, Il. and was the son of the late Carl E. and Joan A. Yeager. He had lived in Houston County since 1967. A graduate of Perry High School, he was a army veteran during the Vietnam conflict era. For many years he worked at Continental Can and later started his own Heating and Air company (Comfort Solutions). His passions were the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs, fishing, and gardening. Stephen was a devoted husband, a good neighbor,loving brother and uncle.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Lynne Haney Yeager; sister, Kate Yeager (Hillard Weinstock) of Atlanta; nephews, Sam Yeager, Josh Yeager, and Caleb Yeager; mother-in-law, Wylene Haney; Special and loving friends, Greer and Lori Lasseter, Alice Holcomb, John Randall Lasseter, and Kristen Lasseter Gratham. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Yeager.
