SKEETER FOX's Obituary
PERRY –
Aquila Hurst “Skeeter” Fox, 71, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. His remains will be buried with his parents in Caramel Cemetery in Mansfield, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Summerhill Nursing Home, 500 Stanley Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Skeeter was born on November 2, 1950, in Porterdale, Georgia, to the late Satira Jane Campbell and the late Jimmy Lee Fox, Sr. A lifetime resident of Perry, he graduated from Perry High School in 1969. He was a painter and made improvements to residential and commercial locations. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Summerhill Nursing Home for many years. Skeeter enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales finding treasures for his home.
Skeeter was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jimmy Lee Fox, Jr.
Survivors include his sisters, Cathelia Whitley of Macon and Veronica Bryan (Larry) of Sylvester; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including close friends, Bob Kirkpatrick, John Schell, and Ken Barrett.
