SHIRLEY PAYNE BEAMON's Obituary
PERRY –
Shirley Jean Payne Beamon, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Perry with the Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Jamie Powell will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Dogwood Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Shirley was born on December 7, 1949, to the late John Payne, Sr. and the late Helen Price Payne. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Perry and the Avon Buice Sunday School Class. For many years, she was a self-employed hairdresser and cosmetologist at Mane Cutters in Perry. She always enjoyed seeing her clients and making them beautiful. After her retirement, Shirley loved cooking for her family and friends and working in her yard, nurturing and trimming her lovely plants and flowers.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her loving and devoted husband of fifty-five years, Lamar Beamon.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Shirley are her daughter, Sharon Beamon of Perry; her son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Amy Beamon of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her grandchildren, Landon Beamon and Cassidy Beamon, both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Connie Payne of Montezuma; and several nieces and nephews.
