She came to Middle Georgia in the late seventies and decided it was a place to call home. Through-out her life she was blessed to have been able to travel all over the world from California, Mississippi, Bermuda, Illinois, and Georgia, she explored so many wonderful places. Everyone that knew her loved her baked brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and pies. Shirley loved her family the most and never met a stranger. She was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Steven Wayne Walthall. Left to cherish the memories they shared with Shirley are her husband of nearly 28 years, Randall Pettyjohn of Perry; her daughter, Suzanne Walthall Evans (Jim) of Perry; her grandchildren, Laci Baker of Kathleen, Aaron Miles (Bianca Blackstone) of Montezuma and Lucas Evans of Perry; her great-grandchildren, Jayden Baker of Kathleen and Charlotte Miles of Montezuma. Condolences for the family may be left in our online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
