Shelby W. Langston's Obituary
PERRY-
Shelby W. Langston, 82, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to Rehoboth Baptist Church Building Fund, 2238 US Hwy 41 N, Perry, GA 31069.
Shelby was born in the Mississippi delta, and moved to Bay Minette, Alabama, at an early age. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He moved to Perry in 1965, retiring in 1986 as a Contracting Officer at Robins Air Force Base after 32 years of Civil Service. Shelby and his wife, Sue, moved to Largo, Florida, in 1992, and returned to Perry in 2005. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and the Adult I Sunday School Class.
Left to cherish the memories of Shelby are his loving wife of 32 years, Sue Langston; his son, Speedy Langston (Joni) of Enigma; his daughters, Barbara Ann Daniel (Wayne) of Macon, Amanda MaGouirk (Wayne) of King, NC, Judy Goheen of Warner Robins, Margaret Redmond of Perry, and Marti Coleman (Craig) of Tucker; his stepsons, Randy Stephens (Debbie) of Montgomery, Alabama, Mickey Stephens (Kathy) and Larry Stephens, both of Warner Robins; his brother Wayne Langston (Linda Gail) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
