Shearie Jackson's Obituary
Shearie quietly passed away at her home surrounded by her family in Sacramento, CA. Shearie was born and raised in Whistler, Alabama and accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Whistler Elementary School and Central High School in Mobile, and Alabama State Teachers College in Montgomery Alabama in 1957. Shearie and her husband Armstead Jackson wed in 1958 and moved to Sacramento in 1965. Shearie taught at Del Paso Heights Elementary School for nearly 30 years and served faithfully at Shiloh Baptist Church. Shearie leaves to cherish her memory; her loving husband of fifty-six years Armstead Jackson, Jr.; daughters, Adriane Jackson of Sacramento and Terri Richardson (Anthony) of Brooklyn, NY; a son, Armstead Jackson III, of Brooklyn, NY; one grandson, Jonah Richardson; a sister, Maudestar (Jean) Kyles of Whislter, Alabama and many loving cousins and friends. A service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home and Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Theodore, Alabama on Tuesday, February 24 at 11am.
