September Irwin Lieberman's Obituary
PERRY-
September Irwin Lieberman, 57, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a courageous battle with melanoma. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 11:15 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kathleen. Inurnment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
September was born in Macon to the late LaRue and Billy Irwin, Sr. She graduated from Perry High School, class of 1979. That's where she met the love of her life, Eric, and developed her passion for education. She worked with the Houston County Board of Education for 28 years as an elementary school teacher and a media specialist. September loved her family fiercely, but anyone who knew her, knows that her grandchildren were her pride and joy. A loving wife, caring mother, faithful friend and treasured "Granny", September was loved by many and brightened the lives of all she knew. She will be deeply missed, and certainly not forgotten.
Left to cherish the memories they made with September are her loving husband of 33 years, Eric Lieberman of Perry; her son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Courtney Lieberman of Atlanta; her son, Matthew Lieberman of Perry; her grandchildren, Isabella Lieberman and John Kaier Lieberman of Atlanta; her brothers, Hugh Irwin (Monica) of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, and Bobby Irwin (Sharon) of Perry; and her sister-in-law, Janet Lieberman Galvin (Tony) of Winter Park, Florida; as well as her aunts, uncles, niece and nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
