Sandra ''Ammie'' Thompson's Obituary
Sandra Sheila Thompson, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. P.O. Mrs Thompson was born in Houston County to the late W.H. and Edna Thames. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Thompson enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and the interests of her children and grandchildren. Her fried chicken, fried okra and chocolate pies are legendary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Thompson, and son, Neal Thompson.
Left to cherish the memories of "Ammie" are her children, Dale Thompson (Lydia) of Perry, and Tim Thompson (Lori) of Pelham, Alabama; daughter-in-law Terri Thompson of Perry; brother, Herman Thames (Beverly) of Perry; sister, Myrna Hollan (Jim) of Mt. Dora, Fl; and grandchildren Ashley Gurley (Josh), Laura Stimus (Todd), Paige Thompson, Andrew Thompson, and Heather Thompson and great-grandson Johnathan Stimus.
