SANDRA J JONES's Obituary
PERRY- Sandra J. Jones, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024. At her request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Abba House, 2089 US HWY 41 S, Perry, GA 31069, or online at https://abbahouse.com/donate Sandra was born to Roy Jones and Beulah Hershman Jones on May 16, 1943, in Gary, Indiana. She graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1960. Soon after graduation, she married her husband, Frankie Jones. Together they had three sons: Chip, Ron, and Robert. Sandra adored her sons and was thrilled as her family grew to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their favorite time together was around the holidays, and Sandra took great pride in cooking for all her family. Outside of her immediate family, Sandra kept in touch with both extended family and friends as an avid letter writer. She wrote letters often and continued doing so until she was no longer able. Her kind and thoughtful gesture will be missed by all those she wrote to all across the country. Sandra led an active life for over 30 years in Houston County. She was a frequent visitor to Central Baptist Church and loved the LORD with all her heart. Outside of church, she worked for many years as a sales clerk at Dillards, always eager to help her customers. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo at the James E. Worrall Community Center in Perry. She loved the game of bingo but cherished the friendships she made there most. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Robert L. Jones; her sisters, Kay Jones and Diane Lovall; and her brother, Jim Ohm. Left to cherish the memories they made with Sandra are her two sons, Chip Jones and Ron Jones, both of Centerville; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many friends all over the county. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
