Sammie L. Smith, age 80, a native of Mississippi and a longtime resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014. She is survived by her son, Phillip S. (Nellie) Smith, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 12 noon with visitation starting at 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
