Mr. Lee was born in Pulaski County to the late Willie and Martha Dell Watson Lee. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army in the 295th Jasco during World War II. Mr. Lee was a Powerhouse Engineer at Penn Dixie Cement Company for 23 years. He was then hired as a Power Engineer at Pabst Brewing Company, where he retired after 13 years. Mr. Lee was the original homeowner and founding member of the Farm Estates Community, where he and his late wife, Doris, lived and raised their family since 1963. He loved garden farming, planting and watching vegetables grow, for his family to harvest and enjoy the fruits of his labor. He also enjoyed fishing. Through the years, Mr. Lee was a talented wood worker, making trains, swings, lamps, and tables for his family and friends to enjoy. A former member of Perry Church of God, Mr. Lee was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church and the Sonshine Senior Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the National Association of Power Engineers (NAPE), the local VFW, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Doris Howington Lee; 7 sisters; and 2 brothers.
