Ruth Parker Dennard's Obituary
PERRY-
Ruth Parker Dennard, 86, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Services will be on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Second Memorial Baptist Church in Perry. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 20, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Watson Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA 31069 or Second Memorial Baptist Church, 1845 Kings Chapel Road, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Ruth was born in Dooly County, on July 9, 1928, to the late Homer Green Parker and Nora Tate Parker. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Second Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her church and the Lord. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Chief B.E. Dennard, Sr. She was also predeceased by her parents, Homer G. Parker, Nora T. Parker, and her step-mother, Maudie Parker; her sister, Earlene McEwen; and a daughter-in-law, Beatrice "BeBe" Dennard.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Lockerman (Pamela) of Cochran, Rodney Lockerman (Gayle) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Harry Dennard (Mickie) of Warner Robins, David Dennard of Warner Robins, and Benny Dennard (Jeannie) of Clayton; her daughter-in-law, Connie Lockerman of Bonaire; her brothers, Wendell Parker (Jeannette) of Byron, Talmadge Parker (Bunky) of Forsyth; her sisters, Irene Shugart of Byron, Julia Watts (John) of Perry, and Shirley Blando of Lakeland, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
