Ruth Daniel's Obituary
PERRY- Nellie Ruth Daniel, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jack Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Mrs. Daniel was born on September 30, 1922, in Wheeler County, Georgia, to the late Henry and Lillian Wilcher. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Perry and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her loving husband, C.M. “Speed” Daniel, and her 5 siblings. Mrs. Daniel and her husband of 46 years dedicated their lives and home to Christ and His teachings. This commitment is demonstrated as she departs this life being the oldest member of the church. Given this devotion to her church, any remembrances can be made to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069. Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Daniel are her children, Sharlyn Green (Malcolm) and Wayne Daniel (Barbara Ann), both of Macon; her grandchildren, Carol Ann Wood (Donald) of Flowery Branch, Daniel Green (Carol) of Greenville, SC, and Ashley Ann Kelsay (William) of Macon; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
