Roxie Maybell Mizich's Obituary
Age 86, of Mobile AL passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at a local hospital, A native of Birmingham, AL resident of Mobile AL since 1969. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will truly be missed. She instilled honesty, respect, strength, hard work and independence in her children and grandchildren. She made us laugh and have fun as well as disciplined us when ever needed. We are blessed to have all of the memories that we now have and to have had her in our lives. She worked many years in the retail industry. She was a breast cancer survivor since 1988, but battling Lymphoma for the past 4 years, along with multiple other medical problems. She fought these battles with strength and dignity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Mizich, son, James L. Grantham, daughter, Jenny L. Stamm, son-in-law, Dr. James Stamm, father Fee Sullivan, mother, Myrtle Sullivan. She is survived by her 2 loving and devoted daughters, Teresa Mizich Cross and Linda K. Nichols, 7 loving grandchildren, Stacey Clark McDonald Smith, Jerome Clark, Kellie Ann Grantham, Christy McAfee Vaughn, Belinda L. Hudson, Jennifer M. Nichols and William Michael Cross, 7 great grandchildren, Rachel Vaughn, Devan Scott, Randall McDonald, Jenny Lowery, Samantha McDonald, Collin White and Jackson Hermann. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2 pm with visitation from 1 pm until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers donations in her honor can be made to Anchor Cancer Foundation of Mobile.
