ROSELLE D. WHITE's Obituary
KATHLEEN –
Roselle Dunaway White, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, 505 Water Works Road, Palmetto, GA 30268.
Roselle was born on July 6, 1938, to the late David and Winnie Dunaway. She was a graduate of Lincoln County High School. She married the love of her life, A.W. White, Jr., and immediately became a farmer’s wife. From moving trucks and trailers in the fields to going “to town” to get parts for tractors, Roselle fulfilled her duties perfectly. She was a homemaker all of her life, continuously working to create a caring and encouraging environment for her family, and always cooking for family and friends. She was a master seamstress who made many prom dresses, cheerleader uniforms, and even men’s suits, through the years. Roselle was a long-time member of Kathleen Baptist Church.
Roselle was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Sybil Rivenbark, Casteel Dunaway, and Sara Lee Dunaway.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Roselle are her children, Lynn W. Garrett (Larry) of Hawkinsville, and Wendel White of Fritz Creek, Alaska; her grandchildren, Ashley Porter (Jay) of Hawkinsville, and David Garrett (Rachel) of Madison; her great-grandchildren, Georgia Lynn Porter, Tom Porter, and Sawyer Garrett; her brother, George Dunaway (Joyce); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left for the family in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
