RONNIE McGINNIS's Obituary
PERRY –
James Ronnie McGinnis, 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, suddenly and unexpectedly after a brief illness. Services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Christ Chapel Church in Warner Robins with the Visitation from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. followed by A Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor J. J. Hefley and Pastor Andy King officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P. O. Box 52, Perry, GA 31069, to offset the expenses incurred so unexpectedly.
Ronnie was born in Vienna to the late Gordie and Mildred Dominey McGinnis. He graduated from Crisp County High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Georgia Southwestern College. He was a true businessman, an entrepreneur, and owned several businesses through the years. Ronnie enjoyed living in Boca Raton, Florida, for many years. After returning to Middle Georgia, he became a member of Christ Chapel Church in Warner Robins. He loved every member of the Life Group to which he belonged and met with every week. After retirement, he and his wife “accidentally” started building furniture with reclaimed wood, creating beautiful custom-made pieces. He loved his family and treasured quality time spent with his wife, his children, and his grandchildren.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy McGinnis; and a sister, Brenda Raley.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Ronnie are his loving and devoted wife of nearly thirteen years, Lanae Beasley McGinnis of Perry; his children, Heatherly McGinnis of Cordele, Philip Willard, Jr. (Trish) of Kathleen, and Christina Michelle Graham of Brunswick; his grandchildren, Ancil Chandler, Adgel Chandler, Aaron Willard, Katherine Willard, Tony Graham (Bailey) and Sarah Graham (David Vassey); his great-granddaughter, Charlee Jane Graham; his sister, Marcia Morris (Reggie) of Hawkinsville; several nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements
