Ronnie Lee 'Joe' Ellis' Obituary

Ronnie Lee "Joe" Ellis, Sr., 67, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Interment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Mr. Ellis was born in Endicott, New York, to the late B. George and Doris Corwin Ellis. He and his family moved to Elko from New York in 1998. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Coast Guard. Mr. Ellis was a truck driver and worked for Keen Trucking Company and KJ Trucking. He loved his motorcycles and was a member of the Christian Outlaws. A member of Dooling Baptist Church, he was devoted to his church. Joe loved his children and his grandchildren, and looked forward to their annual 4th of July vacation with all of them at Lake Blackshear. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Roberta Fairchild Ellis; his twin sister, Suzie Ellis; and his sister, Johna Hornbuckle.
Left to cherish the memories of Joe are his children, Ronnie Ellis, Jr. (Lisa) and Steven Ellis, both of California, Tiesha Barfield (Troy) of Elko, and Tiffany Sinyard (Lee) of Hawkinsville; 22 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Bob Ellis (Phyllis), Jimmy Ellis (Patty), and Dick Ellis (Bonnie); and several nieces and nephews.
