Ronald Gene Coleman's Obituary
Ronald Gene Coleman, age 70, a longtime resident of Grand Bay, AL passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Ronald served 30 years in the Navy. His service Decorations was Navy Commendation Medal (one gold star), Navy Achievement Medal (one gold star), Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy "E" Ribbon (2nd Award), Fifth Good Conduct Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Navy Defense Service Medal (one bronze star), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (three bronze stars), Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (two bronze stars) and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He worked 15 years at Ingalls Shipyard and retired as a Systems Engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Bettye Coleman. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Essie Mae “Pat” Coleman, siblings, Nancy (Marvin) Goff, Larry Putnam and Joyce Fields, children, Tami Albritton, J.R. (Brenda) Culp, Randy (Balinda) Culp, Jennifer (Paul) Burton, Tammy (Eric) Walker and Vince (Lynn) Allen, 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 12 noon with visitation starting at 11 am until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
