Robin Scott Kelly's Obituary
Robin Scott Kelly lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on May 7th, 2016. He was at North Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center under the watchful care of their staff. He was 53 years old.Robin was born on July 24th, 1962 in Mobile, Alabama at Mobile City Hospital. He was a member of the Army National Guard, and was the third son of Afton Jeannette Gilley and Arthur Pete Kelly. He is survived by Afton and Pete, and was the middle of seven siblings. The seven siblings are: Frankie Kelly, Jeff Kelly, Anna Orizetti, Karen Rayford (Ron), Clifford (Mary) Kelly, and Tracy (Matthew) Hogan. He was the father of seven children, named: Stephanie Carver, Chad Turner, Lindsey Turner, Danielle Tims, Joseph Kelly, Jessica Kelly, and Shauna Godoy. He leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, numerous other family members, and long time friend, Dean Anderson.For those that didn't know Robin, he had a strong draw to the outdoors, and an immense love for the water. From daily Summer trips to the swimming hole, or grabbing a cane pole, his peace was at the water. In his last days, we were able to revisit these last fond memories. He reflected on his childhoods, and most of all, the love of his family. Although some may not have understood, his family was his greatest accomplishments. In his last words "I know it may not seem like it, but my family is everything". He showed his love to each individual family member.Robin will be sadly missed, and remain in our hearts forever. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 12 noon until service time at 2 pm. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
