Robert 'Bob' T Harris' Obituary
PerryRobert T. "Bob" Harris, 72, passed away in Macon on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10 at the Second Memorial Baptist Church in Perry, with interment in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon with military honors. Mr. Harris was the son of the late William M. and Beulah Johnson Harris and he was born in Byron. Visitation will be 6 -8 p.m. Friday at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. "Bob" was a proud United States Army Viet Nam Veteran. Very active in the Second Memorial Baptist Church, he taught Sunday School and served on numerous leadership positions.He had worked at Big Star Grocery in Macon and as an agent for Combined Insurance. Bob also had worked at Camp John Hope. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Betty Taylor Harris; children, Rhonda Harris of Macon, Kim Marrah (Mike) of Cape Coral, Florida, and Jay Ivie of Perry; siblings, Josephine Brown of Stockbridge, Nell Sullivan of Warner Robins, Randolph Harris of Lizella, William H. Harris, Jr. of Macon, and Prentis Harris (Virginia) of Macon; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.Condolences may be left at watsonhunt.com
