Robert 'Bobby' C Sanders' Obituary
PERRY, GA - Robert (Bobby) Cecil Sanders, Jr., 84, passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, JoAnne Crowe Sanders.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday June 28, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Marshallville with entombment in the Marshallville Cemetery. Dr. Charles Carter will officiate services. Visitation will be held at the Church from 2:00 -3:00 p.m. immediately preceding the funeral services.
Mr. Sanders was born in Upson County and was the son of the late Robert Cecil Sanders and Cleo Carriker Sanders.
Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marshallville, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher in years past. He served in the United States Navy from 1951 until he was honorably discharged in 1955. Bobby loved spending time with his family, and was an avid Braves baseball fan.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Randal Lee Sanders (Karen), Peggy Sanders Baker, and David Scott Sanders (Debby); sibling, Elizabeth Sanders Hicks (John): six grandchildren, Robert Spencer Sanders, Randal Jared Sanders, MD (Lizzie), Shea Sanders Dooley (Wes), Donald Nicholas Baker, Natalie Anne Sanders, and Katelyn Elizabeth Sanders; four great grandchildren, Aidin Colquitt, Ella Brooks and Lane Sanders, and Crews Dooley (due in Sept).
He was preceded in death by his brother G.T. Sanders.
