ROBERT "BUD" OGLETREE's Obituary
DALEVILLE, ALABAMA –
Robert “Bud” A. Ogletree, 62, passed away in Daleville, Alabama on Thursday, January 21, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in Perry Memorial Gardens in Perry, Georgia. Anyone is welcome to attend. However, due to COVID, please wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to FOPAS (Friends of Perry Animal Shelter) or to the donor’s favorite charity.
Bud grew up in Perry, and was a 1976 graduate of The Westfield School, where he excelled in basketball and golf. Bud lived in many places while in the corporate insurance world and finally moved to Enterprise, Alabama, nearly twenty-two years ago. He worked at Sessions Peanut Company in Enterprise for many years. Bud was always good at sports trivia, was known as “Bud Net,” and officially went offline on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was the son of the late Richard Earl Ogletree; and the grandson of the late Harry and Gladys Herndon and the late Earl and Mildred Ogletree.
Left to cherish their memories with Bud are his mother, Joan E. Herndon of Perry; his sisters, Julie Ogletree Kelly of Cordele and Lisa Ogletree Murray of Perry; a great-nephew, Tyler Adams of Cordele; his best friend, Lonnie Sellers; and the many friends at Sportsman Lounge in Daleville.
