MARSHALLVILLERobbie Anderson Norsworthy, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at The Oaks Nursing Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry and the Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. The burial will take place in McRae Cemetery, McRae, Georgia, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31204. Mrs. Norsworthy was born in McRae. She was a telephone operator for Bellsouth Telephone & Telegraph and retired after 46 years. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling. She was very devoted to the community organizations where she was a member and with whom she volunteered. Mrs. Norsworthy was a member of Perry United Methodist Church, then became a founding member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. Once the church was strong, she returned to her beloved Perry United Methodist Church. “Nana’s” greatest joy in her life was her family. She loved being a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother, and they loved her tremendously. Mrs. Norsworthy was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert Anderson and Winnie Cadwell Anderson; her loving husband of 45 years, Harold G. Norsworthy; a young daughter, Elaine Norsworthy; and her brothers, Jimmy Anderson, Jack Anderson, Bill Anderson, and Terrell Anderson. Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Norsworthy are her children, Kathryn Norsworthy (Deena Flamm) of Orlando, FL, Harold “Hank” Norsworthy, Jr. (Louise) of Goose Creek, SC; and Rosemary Norsworthy-Wells (Herb) of Perry; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
