Rita Rowland Tripp, 68, passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Perry on Thursday, September 19, 2013. A private memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Watson - Hunt Funeral Home. Rita was born in Dodge County and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Martha Josephine Rogers Rowland. She had worked for years in food service at the S & S Cafeteria at Blue Bird Body Company.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Denise Davis (Ken) of Perry, Bobby A. Tripp (Tina) of Roberta, and Billy Tripp of Byron; grandchildren, Adam, Hayley, Erica, Stephen, Travis, Andy, and Sydney; siblings, Lewis Rowland, Marcia Roland, Wilmer Rowland, Jay Rowland, Marti Hartrick, Mary Broadnax, Sherry Myers, Barkwell Rowland, and Doyle Rowland. She was preceded in death by sons, Jimmy Tripp and Tommy Tripp and a brother, Roger Rowland.
