RICK VANCE's Obituary
PERRY –
Joe Richard “Rick” Vance, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.
Rick was born in Osceola, Arkansas, to the late Joe R. Vance, Sr., and the late Mary Pinkly Vance. His family moved to Perry, Georgia, when he was a teenager. He played sports and was known to enjoy pranking with his friends at Perry High School. He graduated in 1969. Rick soon accepted a position with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and retired as a Supervisor in the Wing Shop after thirty years. Through the years, he enjoyed playing golf with his dad, often several times a week. His favorite pastime was hanging out at Rocko’s in Warner Robins with his friends, who along with his family, will miss him dearly.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Rick are his daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Chris Plummer of Fayetteville; his granddaughter, Margo Plummer; his grandson, Harrison Plummer; his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Gail Vance of Perry; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
