Richard Patrick 'Rick' Carlton's Obituary

Richard Patrick "Rick" Carlton, 65, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015, after an extended illness. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or Friends of Perry Animal Shelter.
Rick was born in Savannah to the late James DeWitt and Mary Ellen Gregg Carlton. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and received a BA degree from University of Alabama. He moved from Orlando, Florida, in 1989 to Perry, Georgia, where he lived out his life. Rick worked for BAE, a contractor at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rick enjoyed golf, music, and time with his family.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Mary Lou Bond Carlton; his children, Amy Carlton Jolley (Michael) and Colleen Carlton Martin; 4 granddaughters, Jillian Jolley, Rachel Jolley, Madeline Martin, and Eleanor Martin; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
