Richard Arthur Glass' Obituary
Richard has been in the transportation industry for over 40 years and was a successful and accomplished business owner who loved his work. He was a member of Dauphin Island Methodist Church and also attended New Hope United Methodist Church with his loving wife, Paulette. Richard was a very involved and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and attending the sporting events of his grandchildren. Boating, skiing, golfing, and yard work were among some of his passions, none surpassing that of his love for Alabama Football. No matter where Richard traveled, those who knew him could depend on him to always have his Alabama hugger in his back pocket. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Luther Glass and brother, Jim Glass. He is survived by his loving wife, Paulette Glass, sons, Ricky (Gaelle) Glass, Drew (Jackie) Glass, and Aaron (Donna) Bradshaw, Grandchildren, Chandler Glass, Simon Glass, Daphne Glass, Lily Glass, Gabriel Glass, and Harper Bradshaw, mother, Christine Glass, brothers, Rodger Glass, Phillip Glass, Michael Glass, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home Event Center on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 12 noon with visitation starting at 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
