RAYMOND SAMUELS's Obituary
LEXINGTON, SC –
Charles Raymond Samuels, Jr., of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was 79 years of age. visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church at, just outside of Perry, Georgia. Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church Campground Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church, 2500 N. Hwy 41, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
Raymond was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on March 2, 1943 to the late Lula Faye Hopper and the late Charles R. Samuels, Sr. He was a lifelong member of Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church. He had a particular interest in model trains and Corvettes, but his true passion was for his Lord and Savior. He was loved and was highly respected by his family and church friends. Raymond began work at an early age as a carpenter and later built homes with his father. He was an honest, hardworking man who was loved by so many.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents and his stepson, Calvin L. Brown, Jr.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Raymond are his loving and devoted wife of 13 years, Sandra M. Samuels, and his two precious granddaughters, Morgan M. Brown and Emma G. Brown.
The family would like to give thanks to Betsey Pickle who was a caregiver and a friend to the end.
