RANDY LEE CANNON's Obituary
HAYNESVILLE –
Randy Lee Cannon, 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, with the Visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary at First Baptist church of Haynesville. Immediately following will be the Graveside Service at 4:00 p.m. in the cemetery at the church. Flowers will be gratefully accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 105 Jim Mason Court, #100, Warner Robins, GA 31088. To honor Randy and his love for casual living, everyone is invited to wear their favorite overalls to the service.
Randy was born in Hawkinsville to the late Robert Lee “Bobby” Cannon and the late Joyce Gardner Cannon on December 24, 1955. He graduated from Perry High School and retired from Cemex as a Control Room Operator after many years of service. Randy loved the outdoors – hunting, fishing, gardening, and tending to his herd of cows. He enjoyed sharing recipes, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. We were all blessed to have him in our lives. He will truly be missed, but we find comfort in knowing that he is healed and resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Randy was predeceased by his parents; his wife of forty-one years, Sylvia Noles Cannon; his daughter, Kristi Long Mercer; and his brother-in-law, Richard Schoolfield.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Randy are his sons, Drew Cannon and Randy Cannon, Jr.; his granddaughter, Caitlin Long; his sisters, Denise Humphries (Mitch) and Tracy Boisclair (Bob); his sisters-in-law, Lannie Schoolfield and Shelly Lewter (Shawn); his mother-in-law, Joyce Noles; and a host of nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
