POLLY BELL MOHR's Obituary
Polly Mohr of Perry, Georgia, passed away in her home on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born on April 8, 1931, in Wilkinson County, to the late Wes Bell and Jessie S. Bell.
In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband Adna Mohr. They moved to Perry, GA in 1968, established themselves in the community, made friends, joined the Perry United Methodist Church, and became involved in the church activities. Polly joined the PrimeTime group of women and later served as president for twenty years.
Polly had other interest as well. For many years, she was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldog football team and the Atlanta Braves baseball teams She also enjoyed traveling to foreign countries and cruising into foreign ports. Another favorite pastime Polly enjoyed was playing bridge. She became a very good, serious player and used her knowledge to teach others the game she enjoyed.
Polly is survived by her brother, John Bell of Watkinsville, GA, and by her sister, Sue Channell (Rollin) of Wingate, NC. She is also survived by five nephews; Dean Channell (Kathy), Jim Channell (Pam), Wes Bell (Michelle), Sidney Bell (MaryBeth), Mark Bell (Sheryl); a cousin, Faye Greene; and a new member of her family, Joyce Cook, her caretaker.
A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M in Irwinton Masonic Cemetery in Irwinton, Georgia. Face coverings should be worn and social distance should be maintained.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Perry United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 73. Perry, Georgia, or to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
