Peggy Zellner Wilson's Obituary

Peggy Zellner Wilson passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., the hour immediately preceding the service, in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201, or First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069, or The Westfield School, P. O. Box 2300, Perry, GA 31069.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Forsyth, Georgia, on May 16, 1933, and has lived in Perry since 1956. She retired after 26 years of employment with the City of Perry as the Tax Assessor. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry and the Joy Sunday School Class. She served as the Worthy Matron of the Perry Eastern Star, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Perry Shrine Club. Preceding Mrs. Wilson in death was her husband, Harold Wilson.
Survivors include her three sons, Ronnie Spicer (Partner Jim Kotaska), Eddie Wilson (Penny), Keith Wilson (Amber); 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Thomas Zellner (Wanda), Bobby Zellner (Cheryl); her sister, Evelyn Salas; and several nieces and nephews.
