Paul LeVan's Obituary

Paul Kenneth LeVan, 95, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to Lutheran Village, c/o Christ Lutheran Church, 208 Langston Road, Perry, GA 31069.
Mr. LeVan was born in Jacksonwald, Pennsylvania, to the late Abraham and Susan Keller LeVan. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a POW in Germany for a year. Upon his return to the U. S., he entered the U. S. Air Force Reserves, where he remained active for many years. Mr. LeVan worked in Civil Service for over 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion of Perry, Post 24 for 49 years, and was also a member of the POW-MIA group at Robins Air Force Base. Mr. LeVan was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, where he and his wife participated in the Lord's Table every Friday. He enjoyed playing golf as often as he could, but he treasured the moments he spent with his loving family and his precious dog, Daisy Mae. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Left to cherish the memories of Mr. LeVan are his beloved wife of 71 years, Evelyn LeVan of Perry; his daughters, Sandy Adams (Kenneth) of Valdosta, and Susan Redmond (David) of Columbia, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Kevin Paul Adams (Nicole), Stephanie Adams, Laura LeVan Redmond, Emily Jean Barber (Kenny), and Nathan William Redmond; two great-grandchildren, Conner Adams and Anna Adams; a brother, Neil LeVan; a sister, Ruth Graef; and a host of nieces and nephews.
