Patsy Ann Guice's Obituary
Patsy Ann (Jackson) Guice, age 73, of Grand Bay, Alabama passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, January 19, 2017, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 4, 1943, in Natchez, Mississippi. She was a 1961 graduate of Roxie High School and a student at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. The winner of the 1960 Miss Roxie Pageant, Patsy married Wade Clinton Guice, Sr. on January 21, 1962, in Roxie, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie William and Lena Emma (Massey) Jackson, as well as her brother, Russell William Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wade; her sons, Wade Clinton Guice, Jr. (Sandi) of Pensacola, Florida, and Darrell Wayne Guice (Tracy) of Mobile, Alabama; her three grandchildren, Wade “Trey” Clinton Guice, III of Pensacola, Florida, Weston Chandler Guice (fiancé Nicole Thompson) of Pensacola, Florida, and Elizabeth Alexandra Guice of Mobile, Alabama; her brother, Charles Leslie Jackson (Ruth) of Kentwood, Louisiana; her sister-in-law, Janie Jackson of Thomas, Louisiana; her sister-in-law, Anita Guice Bozeman (Henry) of Vidalia, Louisiana; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Patsy was a spirited and fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her laugh was infectious, and she shared it often. She was unwavering in her faith in God and her love of family. A celebration of Patsy’s life will be conducted Sunday, January 22nd at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel on Old Pascagoula Road by Dr. Royce L. DuBose and Reverend John Baxter. The family will greet friends at Serenity beginning at noon, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Internment will then take place at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
