Mrs. Murdock was born in Bonaire to the late Irvin and Ruby Howard Davidson. She worked in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base for a number of years then stayed home to have a family and raise her children. When her youngest child started school, she went to school with her children. Mrs. Murdock became the Secretary to the Headmaster at Westfield Schools and remained there until just after all of her children had graduated. A lady with a true servant's heart, she took care of many, many children through the years, many of whom still called her "Mrs. Woodard". That tradition of caring for others was truly who she was throughout her entire life. Mrs. Murdock was raised in a farming family and loved nature, gardening, and beautiful flowers. For years, she maintained a vegetable garden - canning tomatoes, cutting corn off the cob, and preserving all that she could of the precious gifts from God that she had nurtured for her family to enjoy year round. She was a member of the Miss Fannalice Sunday School Class at Bonaire Methodist Church. For years, Mrs. Murdock enjoyed following the Atlanta Braves and actually attended a game with all of her children for her 79th birthday, such a special time for them all. Her greatest treasure in life was her family, and she took advantage of every opportunity to be with them. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dot Greene; her husband of 23 years, William B. "Billy" Woodard; and her husband of 9 years, Frank Murdock.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Pat are her children, Ann Woodard Watson (Keith), Bill Woodard (Rhonda), Kim Woodard Hvizdzak (Steve), and Pam Woodard Durham (Scottie), all of Kathleen, and Cindy Woodard Gollomp (Jeff) of Bellaire, Texas; a step-daughter, Cindy Barnett (Danny); her siblings, Irvin Davidson (Guinevere), Howard Davidson, and Elaine Poole (Glen); 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Condolences may be left for the family in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
