Patricia Ann "Patty" Hoge Marsahall, 82, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry United Methodist Church. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Perry United Methodist Church, 1002 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069. Mrs. Marshall was born in Kansas to the late Charles and Evelyn Comp Hoge. As the daughter of a Lt. Col. in the Army, she traveled and lived all around the world with her parents. They lived in Germany and lived in Japan after World War II where she rode a train through Hiroshima as a young teenager. Patty returned to the US, graduated from high school, and graduated from Kansas University. In her early 20's, she moved to middle Georgia where she would settle and live out her life. A dental hygenist, she worked for Dr. Avram Rubin in Macon most of her career and for several other local dentists doing contract work until her retirement. Patty had lived in Perry since 2005 and was a member of Perry United Methodist Church. A wonderful, wise, and thoughtful lady, she loved her children and her grandchildren and enjoyed every minute she got to spend with them. Patty was preceded in death by her brother, Chuckie Hoge; her daughters, Merritt Boone Brooker and Mona Marshall Swearingen; and her beloved husband of 30 years, Ben Marshall.Left to cherish the memories of Patty are her children, Tolar Boone (Lori Brooks) of Perry, Tom Marshall (Alicia) of Williamsburg, VA, Matt Marshall (Sheri) of Perry, and Scott Marshall (Stephanie) of Byron; her brother, Steve Hoge (Trish) of Tucson, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
