Ouida McKinstry's Obituary
Ouida (Drucilla) McKinstry, age 89, a longtime resident of Semmes, AL passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. She worked at Brookley Field during WWII and was a Rural Letter Carrier for 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was active in her community and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas H. McKinstry, son, Butch Holloman, daughter, Suzanne McKinstry. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Lambert and Alice McKinstry, sister, Peggy Lancaster, grandchildren, David Asbury, Jimmy (Christina) Smith, Thomas Smith, Franklin (Melissa) Smith, Gil Lambert, great grandchildren, Mandy (Adam) Reeves, Catlin (Brook) Duval, Jessica, Laiden, Sara, Scott, Blake, Sophia, Amelia, great great-grandchild, Adalyn, special nephew, Joe Perryman, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Serenity on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
