Colleen Orndorff Costlow, 86, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, Virginia. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the donor's favorite charity.
Mrs. Costlow was born in Winchester, Virginia, to the late Edward and Mary Lewis Orndorff. She worked at Kellwood in Perry, GA, for 33 years, holding various management positions through the years. An avid reader, Mrs. Costlow enjoyed traveling including visits to Hawaii, Italy, and Scotland. She loved the simple life and mostly spent time at home reading or with her family. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alberta "Bertie" Orndorff, and her loving husband of 40 years, George Costlow.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Costlow are her children, Sharon Carter of Bonaire, David Costlow (Catherine) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Deborah LaCroix (Gary) of Washington, DC; 2 grandchildren, Brian Carter and Kari Nottingham; 2 great-grandchildren, Samantha Nottingham and Logan Nottingham; a niece, Ruan Dunlap; 3 step-daughters; 8 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-great-grandchildren.
