Ora Dee Roberson's Obituary
Ora Dee Owen Roberson, age 85, passed away on May 20, 2014 in Dawes, AL after years of medical disabilities. She was born on June 18, 1928 in Mobile, AL to Ben Owens, Sr. and Leslie Pringle Owens. Ora was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Allen, daughters, Louie Jean and Susie, son, Larry. She is survived by her five children, Peggy Moore-Gipson (Anthony) and Jewel Roberson-Crawford (Michael), Willie James (Alfreda), Gilbert, Patrick, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, brothers, Ben Owens Jr. (Willie Mae), Wiley Owens (Betty), sisters, Rosie Lee Murray, Archie Ree Franklin, Alean Jackson, daughter-in-law, Stella Robinson. Ora retired from Mobile County Public Schools as a support personnel worker in 1990 and afterwards, volunteered for a Mobile Senior Care Org. She was an Eastern Star and active and faithful member of the Midway Missionary Baptist Church were she served as an usher, choir member and on the missionary board until she became disabled. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Midway Missionary Baptist Church, 9550 Three Notch Road, Theodore, AL 36582. Visitation will start at the church from 9 am until service time. Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
