Norvell Bates Watson's Obituary
Age 85, affectionately known as iMyMyi passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Leanna Bates, one son, Ronald Watson and her husband of 59 years, Robert Watson. She leaves to cherish her memory, fifteen (15) children, Janice (Elvin) Muse of Eight Mile, Alabama, Robert (Julia) Watson of Sacramento, California, Marion (Carolyn) Watson of St. Louis, Missouri, Francis (Regina) Watson of Monroe, Georgia, Sandra (Kenneth) Jones, Evelyn Johnson, Andretta (Milton) McCovey, Miriam Washington, Loretta Watson all of Mobile, Alabama, Connie (Donald) Basemore of Alpharetta, Georgia, Donald (Linda) Watson of Mobile, Alabama, Cleveland Watson of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Dennis (Shaundra) Watson of Conyers, Georgia, Michael (LaTasha) Watson of Jersey City, New Jersey and Jonica (Terrence) Bettis of Eight Mile, Alabama, four sisters, Irma (Sylvester) Survillion of Mobile, Alabama, Cora Waller, Arcola Jamison and Vivian (Eddie) Wright all of Chicago, Illinois, 34 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, a devoted cousin, Rosetta Dotson, loving friends, the Prowell Family, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Samuel Chapel AME Church (717 W. Prichard Avenue, Prichard, Alabama) on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 9am until the 11am funeral. Pastor T.W. Parker officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
