Norman John Stinson's Obituary

Norman John Stinson, 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 12:00 noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kathleen. The Vigil Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends immediately following the vigil service until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Stinson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late William John and Catherine Lonsdale Stinson. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. John had lived in Perry since 1959. He was a Food Service Director (ABL Management) for the Houston County Detention Center for 10 years. His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren with whom he loved to spend time. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Winnie Rape Stinson; his brother, William John Stinson, Jr.; three sisters, Florence Vendetti, Betty Wright, and Catherine Stinson; and a son, Tim Stinson.
Left to cherish the memories of John are his children, John Stinson, Jr. of Perry, Joe Stinson (Desiree) of Macon, Tony Stinson of Perry, and William Stinson of Ellijay; his grandchildren, Michael Stinson, Joseph Stinson, Steven Hornaday, Perri K. Berry, Kristina Stinson, Rebecca Stinson, Toni M. Stinson, Easton Garbett, Logan Stinson, and Ryan Stinson; his great-grandchildren, Harper and Ansley-Grace Stinson, and Kadance Rivera; his sisters, Catherine Flacco and Bobbie Houseman; and many nieces and nephews.
