Life Legacy
Neva E. Sikes, 96, passed away on Sunday, Janurary 17, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Henderson Baptist Church with interment in Bertha Dozier Cemetery in Montezuma. Rev. Mike Slade and Rev. Jason Sikes will officiate. A visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Monday at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to the Henderson Baptist Church.Mrs. Sikes was born in Cordele and was the daughter of the late Oren A and Nannie C Truluck Easom. She was the charter member of the Henderson Baptist Church and served as Church Treasurer for 25 years. Mrs. Sikes was retired from Kellwood Company after many years of service.Left to cherish her memory are her children; Juanita Sanders of Perry, Tommy Sikes (Gloria) of Perry, and Orene Luttrell (David) of Macon; grandchildren, Miles Sanders, Keith Maddox (Genie), Ken Sikes, Rev. Jason Sikes (Kelli), David Luttrell (Windy), Paige Sires (Mat); great-grandchildren, Brooke Maddox, Kelli Maddox, Jamie Maddox, Kaley Sikes, Hannah Sikes, Kensley Neva Sikes, Holden Sikes, Eli Sikes, Brynley Sikes, Debra White, Dana Cole, Katie Luttrell, Abbie Luttrell, Janie Luttrell, and Buddy Luttrell; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Newsome and Frances Avery (George); several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sikes and son-in-law, Jerry Sanders.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
