Nellie Mae Wassman's Obituary
Nellie Mae Louise Asberry Wassman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2015. Nellie was a devout christian and member of the Oak Park Church of God. Nellie was the sweetest lady to ever walk the face of this Earth. Nellie was born December 24, 1916 to Noah and Linnie Jordan Asberry. Nellie was loved by many many extended family members and friends; Including The Hines, Donelson and Wassman families. Nellie worked at Vanity Fair in Atmore and was best known as the best hostess ever at the Pancake House in Mobile. She was preceded in death by her two sons, William Max Hines and Joe Harron Hines. She is survived by her grandchildren, Clayton (Toni) Hines, Vickie Haga (Bobby), Sharon Robison (Rex), Stevie Wassman (Jaime), serveral other great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren including Joey, Jeff, Travis, McKenzie, Garrett and Abigail. Sincere Thanks to Lillian Wassman, Ruby Bingham and Wanda Smith who have tirelessly been there for her through the years. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 12 noon with visitation from 11 am until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. After that Nell has "Gone Fishin".
